This launch coincides with new research indicating a significant transformation in how Britons approach their daily coffee rituals.

According to comprehensive research conducted by Nespresso, the traditional British coffee routine is undergoing a remarkable evolution. The study found that 79% of people consider their daily coffee ritual important, yet there is a growing desire for innovation beyond the standard brew.

Notably, two-thirds of consumers are actively exploring new flavor combinations, with nearly half viewing their daily coffee as an opportunity for creative experimentation. This represents a substantial departure from previous patterns where consistency often trumped culinary adventure.

The Recipe Remix Experience

From Tuesday, April 14 through Sunday, April 19, Nespresso transformed London's Covent Garden into a hub of coffee innovation. The centerpiece of this activation was the Pickled Coffee Cola – a distinctive beverage combining a Nespresso Double Espresso Chiaro Vertuo pod brewed over ice with diet cola and pickle brine.

Visitors to the Covent Garden Piazza could experience this unique creation during specific hours throughout the week. Following their visit to the activation, consumers were invited to the Nespresso Covent Garden Boutique to sample the Salted Affogoilto, which blends vanilla gelato with a Nespresso Altissio Vertuo pod, finished with flaky sea salt and an olive oil drizzle.

Jeannie Wood, Marketing Director at Nespresso UK&I, commented on this cultural shift: "We are witnessing a fundamental change in how consumers experiment with coffee. It has transcended mere routine to become about exploration, creativity, and discovery. Nationwide Expansion of Flavor Innovation

The Recipe Remix represents just the beginning of Nespresso's flavor-forward strategy. Additional recipes will be introduced across the United Kingdom throughout the spring and early summer. For those unable to visit the London activation, Nespresso boutiques nationwide will offer complimentary tasting sessions featuring different recipes every fortnight.

These daily tasting sessions will occur from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, commencing on Thursday, April 16. The rollout schedule includes:

  • Monday, May 4 through Sunday, May 17: The 'Love It or Hate It' Latte
