1. Napoli on the Road Arrives in Soho
After winning top prize at the 50 Top Pizza Awards in 2024, Napoli on the Road has opened its third location in Soho. Unlike its cozy Chiswick and Richmond siblings, this sleek, modern venue fits the trendy central London vibe. The food remains fantastic, with exclusive items like the Triple Crunch pizza (steamed, fried, baked, topped with tomato, fior di latte, Calabrian salame, chilli jam, and parsley) and Cime e Salsiccia (a pizza sandwich with darker flour, cime di rapa cream, smoked mozzarella, sausage burger, and nori seaweed powder). Don’t miss the Gateau di Patate – layers of crispy and mashed potatoes with rosemary raclette and grated cheese. 2. Cafe Murano: Rome in Marylebone
Step into Cafe Murano in Marylebone and feel transported to Rome. Start with rosemary focaccia and Fertuna olive oil, then enjoy garlicky pea and scamorza arancini. Tortellini with Westcombe ricotta and spring beans in sage butter is a highlight, alongside potato gnocchi with mint, Tagiasca olives, and braised lamb neck. 3. The Light Bar: Pub Grub with Style
Recently reopened in Shoreditch, The Light Bar blends restaurant, bar, and club vibes in a Victorian power station. The dry-aged beef burger with Applewood smoked cheddar is phenomenal. Head chef Jake Ayliffe’s menu fuses Asian, British, and Greek flavors: BBQ chicken thigh skewer with chilli honey glaze, wood-fired flatbread with tzatziki, and more. 4. Cinco de Mayo Celebrations

5. Sonora Taquería at The Hoxton
Sonora Taquería brings a limited-edition Barbacoa Torta to The Hoxton, Holborn: slow-cooked beef barbacoa, refried beans, avocado, red onion, escabeche, grilled cheese crust, and salsa roja. Try the Sonora Paloma at Friday Lobby Sessions throughout May.
6. Mexico Vivo Fest 2026
Hackney Bridge hosts Mexico Vivo Fest on 3-4 May, celebrating Mexican culture with DJs, live performances, and tasty bites.
7. Free JENKI Matcha Latte
Celebrate JENKI’s debut cookbook Matcha at Home with a free Blueberry Pie Matcha Latte. 30 lattes per day at each JENKI bar, 30 April-2 May.
8. Zylia at Arcade Food Hall
