Mondo Sando, the creative force responsible for the popular Camberwell diner and sandwich shop Cafe Mondo, has announced plans to open Mondo To Go in April 2026.
Strategic Expansion to Deptford Arches
This exciting new venture will be situated within the distinctive Deptford Arches, with the official opening scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2026. To commemorate the launch, the establishment will offer a substantial 50 percent discount on all food items throughout the opening weekend, extending through Sunday, April 12.
While primarily designed as a takeaway operation, Mondo To Go will feature a spacious 50-seater outdoor terrace, allowing customers to enjoy their purchases on-site. This thoughtful design element creates a welcoming atmosphere for those who prefer to linger and savor their meals in the open air.
Signature Sandwiches and Exclusive Offerings
The menu will showcase several beloved favorites from the original Camberwell location, including the renowned Mondo Frango, Mondo Combo, and Everything Cutlet sandwiches. Additionally, patrons can look forward to house-made pickles and traditional potato latkes that have become signature items at Cafe Mondo.
What makes this new location particularly exciting is the introduction of exclusive sandwich creations that will only be available at the Deptford shop. These unique offerings will not be found at either Cafe Mondo or Mondo Sando's other establishment, The Grove House Tavern pub residency, which is also located in Camberwell.
