Killer Sudoku 1,031 presents a challenging twist on the classic puzzle. While normal sudoku rules apply, the numbers in cells contained within dotted lines must add up to the figures shown in the corner of each shape. Additionally, no number can be repeated within each shape formed by the dotted lines.
How to Access the Solution
To see the completed puzzle, readers need to purchase the next issue of the Guardian. For puzzles published Monday to Thursday, solutions appear in the following day's edition. Solutions for Friday and Saturday puzzles are given in either Saturday's or Monday's edition.
Puzzle Features
This variant, known as Killer Sudoku, adds an extra layer of logic. The dotted-line regions, often called cages, have a sum constraint that must be satisfied alongside the standard row, column, and box rules. The puzzle is designed to test both arithmetic and deduction skills.
