London's 'Coolest' Bakery Jolene Expands to Soho with New Daily Store
Jolene Bakery Opens New Soho Shop Open Daily from April 23

London's Trendsetting Jolene Bakery Announces Major Soho Expansion

While iconic landmarks like Big Ben and Tower Bridge draw tourist crowds, London's true culinary gems often lie in its vibrant bakery scene. From Sablé's dulce de leche chunky cookies to Populations Bakery's chocolate and whipped salted caramel cake, the capital offers world-class sweet treats. Among these, Jolene has emerged as a standout, frequently dubbed London's 'coolest bakery' and a favorite on social media and local foodie lists.

From Newington Green to Soho: Jolene's London Journey

Jolene first opened in Newington Green in North London in 2018, quickly gaining a cult following with its TikTok-friendly aesthetic and high-quality, farm-to-table bakery items. The brand has since expanded to four locations across North and East London, including a popular restaurant, establishing itself as a go-to for Gen Z and Millennial city dwellers. Now, Jolene is targeting Central London with a new Soho branch set to open on April 23 inside the Aries flagship store on Bridle Lane.

New Soho Location: Details and Offerings

The Soho store will occupy the space previously used by Hackney's Dark Arts for the streetwear shop's in-house coffee shop. Operating seven days a week from 8am to 4pm, Jolene Bridle Lane will feature many of the brand's signature items. Pastry highlights include rhubarb, frangipane and almond Danishes, along with jalapeño and cream cheese buns. For lunch, customers can choose from sandwiches like bacon and leek tortilla with aioli and rocket, braised fennel with goat's cheese, pickled onions, dill and orange dressing, and herbed egg mayo with leeks, capers, chives and cornichons.

Sweet treats remain a cornerstone, with offerings such as St Clements poppyseed drizzle loaf, oats Kingston biscuits with milk chocolate ganache, and an assortment of doughnuts. The bakery's distinctive typeface and lifestyle branding continue to set it apart, with merchandise extending beyond typical apparel to include collaborations with independent companies, selling items like bottle openers, paintings, chairs, beach towels, ceramics, and artwork.

Pricing and Lifestyle Appeal

As a premium lifestyle brand, Jolene's products come with higher price points. Clothing on their website ranges from approximately £45 to £195, while specialty items like a made-to-order two-tier ceramic gravity fed water filter can cost up to £650. This positioning aligns with its reputation as a trendy, aspirational brand in London's competitive food and retail landscape.

The expansion into Soho marks a strategic move for Jolene, tapping into one of London's busiest and most fashionable districts. With its daily hours and central location, the new store is poised to attract both loyal fans and new customers seeking artisanal baked goods in a stylish setting.
