Food Influencer Finds London's Best Sandwich at Harrods for £14
Harrods £14 Sandwich Crowned London's Best by Influencer

Most Londoners are content with a homemade sandwich or a supermarket meal deal for around £4. However, one social media influencer has sparked debate by spending £14 on a viral wrap from Harrods to see if it lives up to the hype.

The Viral Harrods Wrap

Carmie Sellitto, known as @touchdalight on Instagram, has built a following by sampling some of the world's most expensive dishes. In a recent reel, he reviewed the Harrods Buttermilk Chicken Mac and Cheese Wrap, which went viral after the store's Rotisserie section reopened in April 2026. Initially priced at £12, it has since increased to £14.

The wrap, available in the Rotisserie section of the Harrods Food Halls, contains buttermilk fried chicken, truffle mac and cheese, house-made coleslaw, lettuce, and a blend of garlic aioli and other sauces. Across TikTok and Instagram, reviewers consistently rate it 9/10 or 10/10, calling it a "benchmark for taste" despite the price hike.

Carmie's Verdict

In the video, Carmie says, "I just picked up the new viral Harrods sandwich. It cost me £14, so let's head to my car and see if it's worth it." He then enthuses, "It's so juicy. It kind of feels like I haven't eaten in days by the way I've just demolished half of this sandwich, but the chicken is so crispy, the mac and cheese is perfect, and the coleslaw is so crunchy. I genuinely think you can not get a better sandwich in London than this one." He awarded it a perfect 10/10, confessing he was "literally in love" with the sandwich.

Public Reaction

The post amassed over 6,000 likes. One commenter wrote, "Mmm that sandwich looks so good! If I lived in London I'd run right out and buy one!" Another said, "The size of that wrap, it's like an entire shopping basket in a wrap." A third added, "It is lovely, had it many times," while someone else tagged a friend, writing, "I'm getting this when we are up there."

Other Harrods Offerings

While the £14 chicken wrap is currently trending, Harrods is known for its range of sandwiches at various price points. The luxury retailer's most expensive offering is the £28 Wagyu Beef Sandwich, featuring Wagyu fillet, porcini and truffle butter, gold mustard mayo, mushrooms, and beer-braised onions on sourdough. Harrods Burgers also offers an £18 Signature Club burger with roasted chicken breast, crispy bacon, avocado, and egg, served with crisps.

For budget-conscious shoppers, Harrods provides £8–£10 alternatives, such as the Prawn Cocktail sandwich (£8) and Chicken Katsu Sando (£10), often praised as the best value-for-money choices in the Food Hall.
