Brits are expressing fury after discovering that the classic Feast ice cream has undergone a major recipe change. The beloved treat, once featuring a solid chocolate centre wrapped in chocolate ice cream with a crisp chocolate coating and biscuit pieces, now tastes completely different.
Recipe Change Announced by Wall's
Wall's, the brand behind Feast, announced the new recipe earlier this year on social media. They stated that from 2026, the ice cream will contain hazelnuts, almonds, and egg. The chocolate ice cream has been swapped for vanilla, and the chunky chocolate core has been replaced with a spread-like consistency similar to Nutella.
Fans React with Outrage
Rose Honey Morgan took to Instagram to declare that 'summer is ruined' after buying a box of the new Feasts. She described the ice cream as a 'cheap foam' and the chocolate as a 'cheap, chemical, melty Nutella' instead of the hard chocolate chunk. Other users expressed similar dismay, with comments calling the changes 'scandalous' and 'devastating'. One user demanded a petition to parliament, while another said the country was 'in the gutter'.
Alternative Recommendation
Some shoppers suggest trying the Aldi version, called Fiesta, which reportedly has an incredible chocolate inside. This comes amid other supermarket changes, including the discontinuation of Nestlé's Curiously Cinnamon Churros cereal, which fans hailed as the best cereal ever made.
