Locals in Bangladesh have named a rare albino buffalo after Donald Trump, citing an uncanny resemblance to the US President. The buffalo, simply called Donald, has become a major celebrity in Narayanganj, with many noting its identical hairstyle to the real Trump.
Farm Owner's Story
Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha purchased the buffalo from a cattle market about ten months ago. He explained, 'My younger brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head. It is very calm in nature. Albino buffaloes are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked.'
Local Reactions
One local told the Prothom Alo newspaper, 'He looks exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and hairstyle match.' Another buffalo at the same farm has been named after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a similar resemblance. The manager described Benjamin the buffalo as 'very naughty and has a devious intelligence.'
Eid al-Adha Preparations
Both buffaloes are being prepared for sacrifice during Eid al-Adha, receiving a diet of corn, soybeans, and bran. Despite their eventual fate, tourists are queuing for hours to take selfies with the animals. One visitor said his nephew took an hour-long boat journey just to see Donald.
Real-Life Political Tensions
Meanwhile, the relationship between the real Trump and Netanyahu is facing hurdles after a tense phone call last night. Trump bragged about potentially becoming the leader of Israel before the lengthy discussion about the war in Iran. Trump has been pushing for a peace agreement with Iran that includes abolishing Tehran's nuclear weapons program, while Israel argues that further strikes are necessary and doubts a peace deal is possible without them. A source told Axios that Netanyahu's 'hair was on fire' after the angry call.
