Reality TV star Vicky Pattison has confessed to maintaining a six-year deception about her husband's age, leaving Ercan Ramadan 'fuming' while she finds the situation highly amusing.
The Age Mix-Up That Stuck
During a recent episode of her podcast Get A Grip, which she co-hosts with Angela Scanlon, the 38-year-old Geordie Shore alum revealed that media outlets have been incorrectly reporting her husband's age since they began dating.
Ercan Ramadan is actually 32 years old, but publications have consistently listed him as 42, creating a decade-long age gap that simply doesn't exist.
Vicky explained the origin of the misunderstanding: 'The press got a hold of us dating, obviously, and in their head, it was just so alien that a 31-year-old woman would go out with a 25-year-old man.'
Vicky's Deliberate Silence
Rather than correcting the record, Pattison chose to remain silent about the error. 'So they were like: "He mustn't be 25, he must be 35, right?" I've never told them they've got it wrong. So now, they think he's 42,' she revealed amidst laughter with her co-host.
The couple, who dated for five years before tying the knot, officially married in August 2024 at Marylebone Town Hall after getting engaged in 2022.
They later celebrated with a second wedding ceremony in Puglia, Italy, which was documented in the Channel 4 special Vicky Pattison: My Big Fat Geordie Wedding.
Ercan's Frustration Grows
While Vicky finds humour in the situation, her husband feels quite differently. 'He is fuming,' she admitted. 'They'll be like "Vicky Pattison who married her long-term fiancé Ercan Ramadan, 42, in a ceremony in Puglia."'
Ercan has apparently been pleading with his wife to set the record straight. 'He's like: "Will you just tell them?" And I'm like: "Nah,"' Vicky shared, demonstrating her commitment to the long-running joke.
The 32-year-old even chimed in on social media about the situation, commenting: 'Taking liberties now. Tell them my real age god dammit hahaha.'
Meanwhile, Angela Scanlon couldn't resist adding her own humorous take, joking about Ercan being a 'wicked bit of kit for 54.'
Life After the Wedding
Since marrying Ercan, Vicky has joined the cast of Strictly Come Dancing 2025, where she's partnered with professional dancer Kai Widdrington.
Interestingly, her dance partner shares Geordie roots - his footballer father Tommy Widdrington was born in Vicky's hometown of Newcastle.
The dancing duo recently found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard alongside Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon following the judges' scores.
Fans will have to wait until the results show airs to discover if Vicky's Strictly journey continues or if the age deception scandal proves too distracting for the normally focused performer.
