Gigi Hadid Reveals Deep Distress Over Epstein Files Inclusion

Supermodel Gigi Hadid has publicly expressed her profound dismay and revulsion after learning that her name appeared in the notorious Jeffrey Epstein files. The 30-year-old fashion icon described the experience as deeply disturbing, particularly given the context of the documents related to the convicted paedophile.

Instagram Exchange Sparks Candid Response

Hadid was prompted to address the issue after a fan on Instagram commented that they had unfollowed her due to her silence regarding the Epstein files. In a now-deleted response, she wrote, "Horrible to read someone you've never met speak about you that way. Especially in this context." According to reports from E! News, she explained her initial reluctance to speak out, stating she did not want to detract from the narratives of Epstein's actual victims.

"Your comment made me realise maybe it's not clear – and it's important to let you know," added Hadid, who shares a daughter with singer Zayn Malik.

Details of the Epstein Email Mention

The model's name, along with that of her sister Bella Hadid, 29, surfaced in emails from 2015 between Epstein and an unidentified individual. The exchange, made public by the U.S. Department of Justice as part of over 3 million pages of released documents, included FBI tips, wire transfer confirmations, and private jet itineraries.

In the email, the redacted person questioned how the Hadid sisters achieved such success in modeling, to which Epstein cryptically replied, "You know." When the individual suggested their father, real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, had paid an agency, Epstein denied this, instead attributing their rise to "Because they follow directions, it's that simple."

Hadid's Career Background and Personal Statement

Gigi and Bella Hadid signed with IMG Models in 2012, quickly ascending to become top figures in the fashion industry's new wave of supermodels. Gigi's modeling career began in childhood, with appearances in Baby Guess advertisements at age two.

In her social media post, Hadid acknowledged her privileged upbringing but emphasized her parents' role in instilling a strong work ethic. "The same hard work that got them to this country and gave them careers," she noted.

She unequivocally denied any association with Epstein, stating, "To be named in those files, I think I was 20-21 at the time he would have written that email – is disturbing, and I want to state unequivocally that I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being." Hadid concluded by sending love and gratitude to the fan for their support.

No Evidence of Connection to Epstein

There is no indication that Gigi Hadid, her sister Bella, or their parents ever met Jeffrey Epstein or visited his private island. The mention in the files appears to be part of broader speculative discussions rather than evidence of direct involvement.

This incident highlights the ongoing impact of the Epstein case, with names surfacing in the documents leading to varied reactions, from investigations to personal distress among those inadvertently mentioned.
