Ross, the long-lost biological father of mechanic Tyrone Dobbs, was summoned to Weatherfield by Tyrone's daughters Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) and Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor). The girls hoped for a sweet father-son reunion, unaware of the predator they invited into their home. Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) recognized Ross immediately: she met him when she was 15, and he paid to have sex with her, resulting in her pregnancy with Tyrone. When Cassie revealed the truth, Ross manipulated Tyrone into believing he had changed. But alone with Cassie, Ross vowed to kill her if she ever came between him and Tyrone again.
