Andre Steps Back from Daughter's Reality Show

Peter Andre and his wife, Dr Emily MacDonagh, have officially withdrawn from his daughter Princess Andre's reality television programme, according to new reports. The decision, revealed by an insider to the Daily Mail, was made to reduce the 'noise' and family conflict surrounding the ITV2 series.

Family Tensions Behind the Scenes

The move comes after public criticism from Princess's mother, Katie Price. The Princess Diaries, which launched on ITV2 and ITVX in August 2025, follows the life of the 18-year-old, whom Andre shares with Price. Shortly after the premiere, Katie Price labelled the show 'insulting', claiming she was blocked from making an appearance by Peter and his management team.

She stated at the time, 'Everyone knows she's my daughter... I find it [to be] an insult.' Price also alleged she was barred from attending Princess's filmed 18th birthday party, a significant event featured in the first season.

An inside source explained the reasoning for the withdrawal: 'Pete and Emily will not feature in The Princess Diaries seasons two and three.' The decision was reportedly made collectively with Princess to allow the show to focus solely on her, rather than her complex family dynamics.

Focus Shifts to Princess's Solo Journey

The source elaborated that the drama caused by Katie Price's exclusion from the first season led Peter Andre to take a 'massive step back' to prevent Princess from feeling caught between her parents. Both parents, despite their differences, are said to want the best for their daughter.

However, this family compromise may present a production challenge. Despite the involvement of Princess's brother, Junior Andre, 20, producers are now said to be 'struggling for storylines' without the prominent presence of Peter Andre, who was a regular feature in the initial four-part season.

ITV has not yet confirmed a release date for the second season of The Princess Diaries. Peter Andre's representatives have been contacted for comment by Metro.co.uk.
