Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that her three-year-old daughter Bambi put someone in a headlock during a recent trip to Pizza Express, leaving the former Love Island star mortified. Speaking on her latest YouTube vlog, the 27-year-old influencer admitted she believed her eldest child had outgrown what she previously called her “aggressive era” — but the incident proved her wrong.
Hague, who shares daughter Bambi and baby son Midas with boxer Tommy Fury, did not go into specifics about the Pizza Express incident. She explained that she was out with her two children and a group of friends when the situation unfolded, adding: “I can’t even disclose what happened. All I’m going to say is that I thought Bambi was out of her aggressive era. I was very wrong.”
She continued: “Headlocks were put in place. Not by me, by her. It should have been by me. Honestly, it was bad.” The mum-of-two welcomed her son Midas earlier this year, meaning she is currently juggling two children under the age of four.
Not the first challenging phase
This isn’t the first time the influencer has opened up about Bambi’s difficult behaviour. Last year, she spoke about a “biting phase” that went viral after she shared a clip on social media. In the video, Bambi is heard declaring, “I’m gonna bite someone,” while naming some of her friends. Molly-Mae is then seen responding: “No. What do we use our mouths for? Your mouth is for food, we don’t bite anyone, OK?”
During a later video, Hague revealed she had received a call from the nursery to inform her that Bambi had bitten another child — and that it wasn’t the first time. She told her followers: “I got a call from nursery today to tell me that she has bitten another child, and this isn’t the first time that it’s happened.” She added that the nursery was experiencing a “biting pandemic,” with children copying one another.
The influencer also recounted how Bambi had come home with a full-on bite mark on her arm after being bitten by another child. “I wasn’t even cross or upset about it, because I knew it was only going to be a matter of days before they called me to tell me that she’d done the same back to another child,” she said at the time. She believed the children were copying each other’s behaviour.
Hague then revealed she had received another call, this time from Bambi’s key worker, to say the toddler had bitten again. The star admitted that most parents would not want to admit that their child had bitten someone, given how embarrassing it can be.
Honest about motherhood
In the same video, Hague expressed her frustration and embarrassment over her daughter’s actions, saying: “It’s so embarrassing for me because it’s completely and utterly the opposite of what I want my child to be. I want her to be kind, gentle, loving and caring. I want her to be lovely to people and her biting is so far removed from who I want her to be, but equally she is two-and-a-half and she’s testing boundaries.”
She went on to say that despite the challenges, she tries to keep perspective on toddler development. The latest headlock confession suggests that Bambi, now three, is still finding new ways to push boundaries. Hague’s devoted fans have long appreciated her candid approach to parenting, and the new story has already sparked reactions across social media, with many praising her for keeping it real about life with young children. Her honesty continues to resonate with parents facing similar toddler antics. For now, it seems, the “aggressive era” may not be over just yet.
