Mollie King and her husband, cricket legend Stuart Broad, have announced they will appear on Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox, just weeks after the Radio 1 DJ was rushed to hospital following a sudden collapse.
New addition to the show
The couple, aged 39 and 40 respectively, shared the news on Instagram in a video collaboration with the official Celebrity Gogglebox account. Mollie said: 'Hey, it's Mollie and Stuart. We have been on the sofa watching loads of TV: the good, the bad and the ugly.' Stuart added: 'Join us Channel 4, Friday, 9pm.' The caption read: 'Brand new faces! Brand new #CelebrityGogglebox!'
Fan reaction
Fans expressed excitement in the comments. Lauren Milligan wrote: 'Shut up this is my literal dream'. Amber commented: 'Bring it on!❤️' Joe Newton said: 'I am seated, ready and waiting. Can't wait.'
Returning stars
Also returning in tonight's episode are Strictly judges Craig Revel-Horwood and Anton Du Beke, who posted a similar video saying they 'can't wait' to come back.
Mollie's health scare
In June, Mollie took time off from presenting after collapsing on her bathroom floor and hitting her head. She described the incident as a 'huge shock'. On social media, she wrote: 'I keep thinking how grateful I am that I wasn't on my own and had Stuart to bring me round after I fell.' She added: 'It's been a real wake-up call that I need to make some time to get my strength back, not just for my own health, but so I can be the best version of myself for my family too.' She thanked fans for their support and returned to the radio with co-host Matt Edmondson, giving him a 'special shout out' for looking after her.
Gogglebox airs tonight
