Gogglebox 2025: 5 New Households Join Season 26

Channel 4's beloved reality series Gogglebox has shaken up its lineup for its 26th season, introducing five fresh households to the nation's favourite couch commentators while saying goodbye to some familiar faces.

New Faces on the Sofa

The show, now in its remarkable 13th year on air, continues to blend humour and heartfelt moments as it enters another season of candid television commentary. Season 26 premiered in November 2025 and airs every Friday at 9pm, bringing both continuity and change to the format that has captivated British audiences for over a decade.

The departure of Scottish couple Roisin and Joe Kyle after three and a half years on the show paved the way for new talent. The couple announced their exit on social media, stating: 'Channel 4 have decided it's time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and has not asked us back for season 26.'

Mike Cotton, Creative Director for Studio Lambert, expressed enthusiasm about the new additions: 'It's a delight to welcome some new households to the Gogglebox family. Along with our much-loved returning cast, we can't wait to join them in their living rooms and hear their candid thoughts on this week's most talked about TV.'

The Five New Households

Jake and Calum: These Glasgow friends, aged 27 and 31 respectively, bring Scottish charm to the new lineup.

The Gordon Family: Hailing from Surrey, this family unit consists of Andre (49), Sarah (47), and their daughter Chee (25), offering a multi-generational perspective.

Andrew and Alfie: This married couple from The Cotswolds represents a significant age gap partnership, with Andrew at 62 and Alfie at 32.

Sara and Lara: This mother and daughter-in-law duo from Yorkshire features an 87-year-old Sara and 58-year-old Lara, who brings some celebrity connection as the sister of TV adventurer Bear Grylls.

Rosie and Susie: Sisters from Edinburgh aged 68 and 70 complete the new cohort, adding mature female voices to the mix.

Beloved Regulars Return

While new faces join, the show maintains its backbone of fan favourites who have become household names across Britain.

The Siddiqui family from Derby continue their run as the only original cast members remaining since the show's 2013 inception. Brothers Baasit, Umar and Raza alongside their father Sid have delighted viewers with their witty commentary for twelve years.

Jenny Newby and Lee Riley, the chaotic friends from Patrington Haven caravan park in Hull, return after joining in 2014. Their friendship spanning over three decades continues to provide some of the show's most memorable moments.

The Malone family, another 2014 addition, bring their familiar dynamic with dad Tom Sr, mum Julie, and children Lee, Vanessa, and Shaun (Tom Jr left in 2021), along with their beloved Rottweilers who make occasional appearances.

Other returning favourites include upper-class couple Giles Wood and Mary Killen, sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner, Welsh duo David and Shirley Griffiths, and brother-sister pairing Pete and Sophie Sandiford from Blackpool, who happen to be great-niece and nephew of Paul and Barry Chuckle.

Recent Additions and Controversies

The show continues to evolve with more recent additions like Teresa and Anita from Solihull, who joined in 2024 and already sparked discussion among viewers about their sofa etiquette.

The very newest family, Michael, Sally, and their 17-year-old twin sons Jake and Harry, generated early controversy when Jake appeared to swear at his mother during an episode featuring Tom Hanks' nature documentary The Americas.

Gogglebox Season 26 maintains its winning formula of blending fresh perspectives with familiar favourites, ensuring the show remains a Friday night staple for British television viewers seeking both laughter and genuine reaction to the week's television highlights.
