A fourth Gladiators star has reportedly been removed from the BBC series, with Cyclone allegedly cutting all ties with the show. The Irish powerlifting champion, whose real name is Lystus Ebosele, joined Gladiators in January 2025 but is now said to have deleted all traces of the programme from her personal Instagram account, according to a source who spoke to The Sun.
Cyclone's reported departure
The source stated: 'Cyclone won't be back and she's not happy about it. She's now cut all ties with the show – it's a pity as fans absolutely loved her.' Ebosele's Cyclone page remains active on Instagram, but she has reportedly unfollowed Hungry Bear, the production company behind Gladiators.
Fan reactions
Fans expressed devastation on social media. On Reddit, Stereotonic wrote: 'I'm gutted if this is true, she was one of my favourites.' OkExcuse3011 commented: 'Shame, she has good chat & was at least decent at all the events, utterly exceptional at one or two of them.' TomatoLess229 added: 'This is a joke, she was the best.' Ebosele has not commented on the report.
Previous departures
Earlier this week, it was reported that two other Gladiators stars, Bionic and Athena, will not compete in the upcoming season due to injuries. A source told The Sun: 'They won't film this year for the show but could be back for the tour, depending on how they recover from their injuries.' In March, Athena (real name Karenjeet Kaur Bains) shared a TikTok video detailing her ACL surgery recovery. She wrote: 'Six and a half months ago, the journey of recovery after surgery was uncertain. What began with crutches and the slow process of learning to walk again has transformed into dynamic movement.'
Giant (Jamie Bigg) was previously axed over a dispute about his girlfriend's OnlyFans job. He has been replaced by Tom Stoltman, champion of the World's Strongest Man. Bigg told Metro: 'Tom's a fantastic person and I know he'll absolutely smash it on the show. He's got a heart of gold and will be a brilliant addition to the line-up. I wish him the very best of luck.'
Official response
Gladiators representatives declined to comment when contacted by Metro. Metro has also contacted Cyclone for comment. Gladiators will return to the BBC later this year.
