Who is Angry Ginge? Inside the YouTube Star Joining I'm A Celebrity 2025
Angry Ginge: YouTube star in I'm A Celebrity 2025

The speculation surrounding the new campmates for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is a yearly tradition, and the 2025 lineup is no exception. ITV has once again assembled a diverse cast, but one name generating significant buzz is Angry Ginge, widely considered this year's dark horse contestant.

For those outside his massive Gen Z following, Angry Ginge is a social media powerhouse. With millions of followers across various platforms, his inclusion signals ITV's continued push to attract a younger audience, following the successful integrations of influencers like GK Barry and Nella Rose. This move could well make the young streamer a household name across the UK.

Who Is The Man Behind Angry Ginge?

Angry Ginge's real name is Morgan Burtwistle. The 23-year-old English content creator hails from Manchester and has built a formidable online empire primarily focused on FIFA and football content.

His reach is impressive: he has amassed over 1.3 million followers on Twitch and 818,000 subscribers on YouTube. His influence was formally recognised with a nomination for Best Sports Streamer at the 2024 Streamer Awards.

Beyond his digital fame, Burtwistle moves in celebrity circles, counting former England football captain Wayne Rooney and darts prodigy Luke Littler among his friends.

From Streaming To The Jungle: Angry Ginge's Career

While the jungle will be his biggest stage yet, Angry Ginge is no stranger to television. His career began on the YouTube reality competition show Inside. He has also participated in high-profile charity football matches like the Sidemen Charity Match and Soccer Aid, even earning a man of the match award.

Fans might also have spotted him on a celebrity episode of Gogglebox, where he appeared alongside Luke Littler, further cementing his status beyond the streaming world.

Facing Fears: Ginge's Take On The Jungle Challenge

Ahead of the series launch on Sunday, November 16, the social media star has shared his thoughts on the daunting experience. He described joining the show as "a bucket list item" he couldn't pass up, despite a admitted fear of spiders.

One of his biggest concerns is being separated from his phone. "I've been away once for a week. And so, two to three weeks without it is going to be very educational to see how I will do," he admitted.

He's also preparing for the physical challenges, having cut his daily energy drink consumption from two to one. Reflecting on his limited outdoor experience, he confessed, "The closest I've ever done to this is The Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. And that didn't go down well." He added that the most people he has ever lived with are his mum and sister, making the communal jungle life a true leap into the unknown.

I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! begins its 25th series on November 16 on ITV1, STV, ITVX, and STV Player.
