The family of Olympic champion Adam Peaty have been left deeply upset after reportedly being sent a photograph from his wedding to Holly Ramsay, an event from which most of them were excluded.

Adam Peaty, 30, married Holly Ramsay, 25, the daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, in a ceremony at Bath Abbey at the end of 2025. The celebrations, however, were overshadowed by a significant family rift, which saw the swimmer's mother, Caroline, reportedly barred from attending.
While the couple's wedding was featured in a Vogue spread, it is now claimed that salt was rubbed into the wound for Adam's family. A source told the Daily Mail that a close family member received an email containing a wedding day picture.
The source said: "When the picture pinged into a close family member’s inbox we were honestly shocked. Why would someone send us a photo from a wedding we were all banned from apart from Adam’s sister." They added that the image showed the bride and groom with Holly's parents and friends, including the Beckhams, posing where Adam's own parents should have been.
The Background of the Family Fallout
The family dispute became public knowledge months before the wedding when Adam's aunt, Louise, wrote on Instagram that Caroline was "broken" due to her relationship with Adam and Holly. Ultimately, Adam's sister Bethany was thought to be the only attendee from his side of the family.
In a statement in November 2025, Adam Peaty addressed the situation, saying much of the reporting had been "one-sided and, in many cases, excessive and intrusive," and was "encouraged by members of my family."
Caroline Peaty had previously stated she would not attempt to gatecrash the wedding to avoid causing a scene, but expressed her heartbreak at missing her son's big day and the first Christmas without her family together.

In stark contrast, Holly Ramsay's entire family celebrated the union in Bath. She was walked down the aisle by her father, Gordon Ramsay, who later shared his joy on social media. All of Holly's siblings were in attendance.
The incident of the emailed photograph has compounded the distress for Adam Peaty's family. The source questioned whether it was sent "in error or maliciously," stating it had caused "unnecessary anguish and distress." They also revealed the picture could not be shown to Adam's mother, Caroline, as "she wouldn’t take kindly to it."
