The Eastern City BID has announced the opening of Hypha x Eastern City Studios, a new gallery and events space at 130 Fenchurch Street. This initiative transforms a previously empty retail unit into a vibrant cultural hub, created in partnership with Aviva Investors, CO-RE, and specialist charitable partner Hypha Studios.
Year-Round Cultural Programme
The space will host a year-round programme featuring new exhibitions every seven weeks, alongside events spanning family activities, sports, music, culture, and environmental themes. The Eastern City BID aims to reactivate vacant units to create a destination for workers, visitors, and the wider community.
Inaugural Exhibition: (UN)SEEN
The opening exhibition, (UN)SEEN, curated by Zoë Goetzmann, showcases works from 21 contemporary artists. It explores the boundary between visibility and concealment through painting, sculpture, and installation. The exhibition runs from 10th April to 16th May 2026, Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 7pm (closed 2:15pm to 3pm), with free entry.
Clothes Swap and Community Events
From 19th May, the space will host a week-long clothes swap in partnership with Verte London. Visitors can swap clothes, access repairs, attend free workshops, and connect with a community focused on conscious fashion. A rolling programme of free exhibitions and events will continue throughout the year, bringing vibrancy to the ground floor of the Eastern City.

Hypha x Eastern City Studios is open Tuesday to Saturday with free entry. The venue is located at 130 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 5LY.
