Coronation Street casts Rosie Fleeshman, sister of Richard Fleeshman

Coronation Street is welcoming another familiar surname to Weatherfield, with Rosie Fleeshman becoming the latest member of her talented family to step onto the famous cobbles. The actress has landed a guest role in the long-running ITV soap, continuing a family connection to Corrie that stretches back decades.

While Rosie may be new to viewers of the show, her family has already left a lasting mark on the programme. Rosie is the sister of former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman, who became a household name after joining the soap as Craig Harris in 2002. Richard was only 12 years old when he first appeared on screen, playing the gothic boyfriend of Rosie Webster, portrayed by Helen Flanagan. His character quickly became a memorable part of the soap, and Richard remained on the show for several years before departing as a teenager. By the time he left Weatherfield at the age of 16, he had already built a loyal fanbase and was ready to take on new challenges.

But Richard wasn't the first member of the family to appear in Coronation Street. Their mother, actress Sue Jenkins, was a familiar face to viewers during the 1980s, playing Gloria Todd for three years. Meanwhile, their father David also had his own Corrie connection, taking on the role of bad boy Charlie Aindow during the 1990s. With both parents appearing on the iconic soap and Richard enjoying a successful run of his own, Rosie is now carrying on the family tradition by joining the cast, making the Fleeshman family one of Corrie's most recognisable acting families.

Since leaving Coronation Street, Richard has gone on to enjoy an impressive career in musical theatre. He successfully made the transition from soap star to West End performer, earning praise for his role in Legally Blonde. His theatre credits have continued to grow over the years, performing in multiple productions including Ghost: The Musical and Urinetown. Alongside his acting work, Richard has also established himself as a singer-songwriter, showcasing his talents beyond the stage. One of his earliest achievements came when he became the youngest-ever winner of a celebrity edition of Stars In Their Eyes at just 13 years old. His music career also led to some incredible opportunities. In 2008, Richard was invited to support music legend Elton John on three dates during a tour.

Away from the spotlight, Richard recently celebrated a major milestone in his personal life. Earlier this year, it was revealed that he had married his long-term partner, actress Celinde Schoenmaker, during an intimate family ceremony. The couple chose to keep the occasion private, sharing the special moment with their closest loved ones. Posting a wedding video on Instagram, Celinde gave fans a glimpse into the celebrations and shared a heartfelt message about the day. She wrote: 'Last weekend we went up to our favourite place in the world @thecountryhousediaries and surrounded by just our families we got married. It was incredibly special to have three generations under one roof for the first time in 11 years. To our dear friends Ben and Paul who made it possible, we love you and are so deeply grateful for you both. To our families thank you for everything and for making it so unforgettable. To our friends…we don't know when yet but there's a big ol party in the works at some point so stay tuned x.'

Now, with Rosie Fleeshman heading to Coronation Street, another chapter is being added to the family's long-standing relationship with the soap. Fans will no doubt be keen to see whether she follows in the footsteps of her famous relatives and becomes just as memorable on the cobbles.
