The Beckham Family Feud Continues
The ongoing tension between David and Victoria Beckham and their eldest son Brooklyn has taken another turn, with the famous parents reportedly wanting to 'move forward' despite their son's demand for a public apology.
According to sources close to the family, the former footballer and Spice Girl are eager to resolve the conflict that has kept them in the spotlight for most of 2025.
What Sparked the Family Drama?
The rift became apparent through several significant family events that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz chose to skip. Most notably, the couple missed David's 50th birthday celebrations in May and were absent when the former England captain was knighted at Windsor Castle last week.
They also reportedly snubbed the Beckhams from their vow renewal ceremony, adding to the growing evidence that all was not well within the famous family.
This week, a source revealed that Brooklyn and Nicola were ready to make amends but would 'settle for nothing less than a substantive and public apology' from David and Victoria.
The demand stems from their belief that Nicola was treated unfairly in what they describe as a 'one-sided media war' allegedly orchestrated by one of David and Victoria's closest aides.
Both Sides Want Resolution
A new source has now come forward, explaining that David and Victoria share the desire to end the feud. 'David and Victoria have always wanted the feud with Brooklyn to be resolved,' they told Metro.
'They'd love to have him back in the picture but feel as if there are things to hash out in their relationship. They want to move forward as a family and could be open to hearing Brooklyn's side of things.'
However, another source told the Daily Mail that the young couple feel they 'did nothing that would have deserved this treatment' and described the media stories as having an 'intensity and escalation' that was hard to understand.
The source claimed that 'someone should have told them to stop because it was not in their best interest to do this to their own son, but nobody did.'
They emphasised that any reconciliation would require a genuine public acknowledgement and apology from David and Victoria, not just a 'performative thing.'
Social Media Reactions and Public Commentary
Despite avoiding direct comments about the family drama, Brooklyn and Nicola have faced a flood of remarks on their social media posts.
When Brooklyn shared a video promoting his Cloud23 hot sauce on Tuesday - named in honour of his father's famous number 23 jersey - comments quickly turned to the family dispute.
'No one cares mate you going to say well done to your dad?' wrote one user, while another simply stated: 'Call your mum bro.'
Others defended the 26-year-old, with one commenter noting: 'Folks, he's making a smash burger and trying to find joy through sharing his cooking. He's not asking your advice.'
Nicola received similar comments on a recent post showing her posing in a white dress.
Victoria's Previous Comments
Last month, Victoria made a rare comment about Brooklyn during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast. When shown a photo from her famous purple wedding day featuring baby Brooklyn, she said: 'Aw, look at baby Brooklyn.'
She later discussed navigating family dynamics, stating: 'We're such a close family. Communication is key, and we always let them know that anything they want to talk about, this is a safe forum.'
Pressed on how she and David handle changing relationships with their children, the fashion designer maintained: 'Again, it's just about communicating. We've always been that way with the kids.'
She also weighed into the 'nepo baby' debate, urging people to 'just give the kids a chance' - a comment that takes on new significance given the current family situation.
As the Beckham family drama continues to unfold, both sides appear to want resolution, but significant hurdles remain before any genuine reconciliation can occur.
