LA's Go Greek Yoghurt Opens London Café This Summer

Los Angeles-based yoghurt café Go Greek Yoghurt is set to open its first London location this summer, bringing its celebrity-endorsed, health-focused menu to the West End. The café will launch in July on South Molton Street, marking its 21st location globally and its first in Europe.

What to Expect at Go Greek Yoghurt London

The café will feature a Mediterranean-inspired interior, a made-to-order yoghurt bar, self-service machines, and ample seating. The founders, husband-and-wife duo Tanja Murgel-Subotic and David Subotic, along with business partner Jonathan Williams, emphasize wellness and mindful eating, inspired by Tanja's time in Greece. The brand currently operates 20 locations across the US and the Middle East, with plans to expand to 50 by 2027.

Menu Highlights

Go Greek Yoghurt offers a range of premium products, though UK prices have not been announced. In the US, classic yoghurts are priced at $10.99 (small), $13.99 (medium), and $25.99 (large). Frozen yoghurt costs $1.35 per ounce. Smoothies are $11.99 each, with flavors like green tea matcha, chocolate espresso, and strawberry mango. House yoghurt flavors include plain tart, chocolate, and Greek honey, with rotating options such as sour cherry, guava, peanut butter, chocolate chip, and vegan Moka.

Toppings focus on healthier choices: chocolate toasted coconut chips, slivered almonds, organic gummies, and premium fruits. The café also sells savory yoghurt bowls, such as the Greek Salad bowl (Persian cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, oregano, olive oil, salt, black pepper) and the Aceso bowl (mango, avocado, serrano chili peppers, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, salt, hemp seeds, black pepper), priced at $12.50 for a 10-ounce cup.

Celebrity Following and Mixed Reviews

The brand has attracted A-list fans including Blake Lively, Jennifer Aniston, Gigi Hadid, the Kardashian family, Britney Spears, and Tyra Banks. However, some customers have called it overrated, citing high prices and average quality. One user noted, 'Go Greek is SO overrated. It tastes like Yogurtland, but with worse toppings and 10x more expensive.' Another said, 'tell me why I paid $16 for a little less than half a cup.'

Despite criticism, the café has a strong following on TikTok, with creators like Audrey Peters calling it her 'all-time favourite' and @gabycuadra declaring that 'the frozen yoghurt era is officially back.' The London opening is expected to draw significant interest.
