Disneyland Paris Reveals Frozen World Opening Date in Spectacular Drone Show
Disneyland Paris Sets Frozen World Opening for 2026

Disneyland Paris has treated fans to an exclusive preview of its highly anticipated World of Frozen, culminating in a breathtaking drone display that finally revealed the official opening date for the reimagined Disney Adventure World park.

A Night Sky Revelation

The spectacular announcement took place above Adventure Bay, where the night sky erupted into a symphony of colour. Hundreds of drones assembled to form the giant World of Frozen logo before seamlessly transitioning to reveal the much-anticipated date: 29th March 2026. The entire spectacle was perfectly mirrored in the waters below, creating a stunning visual effect for the lucky attendees.

This marks a pivotal moment for the resort, as the completion of Disney Adventure World will see the park almost double in size. Disney Imagineers are currently putting the final touches to the land, promising new experiences that will push the boundaries of storytelling and immersion.

Engineering a Frozen Kingdom

The centrepiece of World of Frozen is the monumental North Mountain, a towering structure reaching 36 metres high. The construction of this icy peak was a feat of engineering, requiring 400 tons of metal for its framework. The mountain was then meticulously hand-sculpted in concrete and painted to achieve its authentic, snow-capped appearance.

At its summit sits Elsa’s glittering Ice Palace, which will be the highest point in the entire new land. Matthieu Robin, lead show creator for Disneyland Paris, expressed his excitement, stating, “It’s our biggest expansion ever – truly the first time in forever. We’re extending worlds our guests already love, bringing those stories to life in new ways.”

Robin shared a personal highlight, saying, “My personal favourite moment is simply standing by the lake, taking in the view of Arendelle from across the water, maybe enjoying something to eat from Regal View Restaurant.”

Immersive Experiences and Nighttime Spectaculars

Within the new area, guests will be able to explore Arendelle Castle, inspired by traditional Scandinavian architecture, and discover the lives of Anna and Elsa behind its walls. The land will be brought to life with 34 state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronic figures, ensuring every detail feels authentic.

Beyond the attractions, visitors can look forward to immersive dining, bespoke shopping opportunities, and a royal encounter with the beloved sisters themselves. The expansion also introduces a brand-new nighttime spectacular staged across the central lake at Adventure Bay.

This show will combine soaring drone choreography, dramatic water screens, and a brand-new musical score recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. John Mauro, portfolio executive creative producer for Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, emphasised the holistic experience, noting the transformation of Studio 1 into World Premiere to begin the storytelling from the moment guests enter.

“I hope guests leave thinking ‘Wow – they’ve really created something incredible here’,” Mauro added, capturing the ambitious vision behind the entire project.
