66 Central London Restaurants Join The Good Food Guide's Inaugural 'Restaurant Month'
66 London eateries in Good Food Guide's Restaurant Month

The hospitality industry is set for a major winter boost as The Good Food Guide launches its first-ever 'Restaurant Month'. The nationwide campaign will run from 13th January to 13th February 2026, aiming to drive diners to restaurants during one of the sector's traditionally quietest periods.

A Culinary Campaign for Quiet Times

Spearheaded by Adam Hyman, owner of The Good Food Guide and founder of CODE Hospitality, the initiative seeks to spotlight the breadth of British dining. More than 350 restaurants across the UK are participating, each creating a special set menu or offer to entice customers. The campaign is a direct response to the notorious post-Christmas slump that hits the industry every January.

"January is a notoriously tough time for hospitality," Hyman stated. "I've always thought it is one of the best times to treat yourself to a meal out. Restaurant Month aims to encourage the British public to venture out, perhaps try a place they may not have eaten at, or treat themselves to a special meal."

Central London's Participating Eateries

A significant contingent of the participating venues are located in the heart of the capital. Sixty-six central London restaurants will be taking part, representing a diverse mix of cuisines and styles, from high-end Mayfair establishments to beloved neighbourhood favourites in Soho and Fitzrovia.

The list includes celebrated names such as:

  • Balthazar in Covent Garden
  • Sexy Fish in Mayfair
  • The Wolseley in Mayfair
  • Kolamba in Soho
  • Pied à Terre in Fitzrovia
  • Ducksoup in Soho
  • J. Sheekey in Covent Garden
  • The Grill at The Dorchester

The full roster showcases the incredible culinary diversity of the capital, featuring everything from modern British brasseries and vibrant Asian kitchens to classic Italian trattorias and innovative vegan spots.

Boosting Bookings and Discovering Gems

The campaign is built on the core mission of The Good Food Guide and CODE Hospitality to champion British hospitality. Participating restaurants will be promoted across The Good Food Guide's digital platforms, including its website, app, newsletters, and social media channels, reaching a national audience of engaged food lovers.

Hyman emphasised the inclusive nature of the event: "Whether you're a cash-strapped student, a family not wanting to cook at home one evening, or someone who loves restaurants as much as we do, Restaurant Month is for everyone!" The initiative promises to make fine dining and local gems more accessible, helping Londoners and visitors alike explore the city's world-class food scene while providing vital support to the sector.

With special offers set to run for a full month, diners have a generous window to plan visits and take advantage of the curated deals, turning the early-year chill into a season of culinary discovery.
