Dramatic first photos have emerged showing the aftermath of a fire that broke out at a restaurant in Hounslow, west London. The blaze, which started in the early hours of the morning, caused significant damage to the premises.
Firefighters Battled the Blaze
London Fire Brigade (LFB) crews were called to the scene at around 3:00 AM. Firefighters from Hounslow, Feltham, and Chiswick fire stations attended the incident. They worked quickly to bring the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to neighboring buildings.
Using breathing apparatus and hose reels, the teams tackled the flames from both inside and outside the structure. The fire was declared under control by 5:30 AM.
No Injuries Reported
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire, and no members of the public or firefighters were harmed. An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
The LFB has urged businesses to ensure they have working fire alarms and to conduct regular fire risk assessments.
Community Response
Local residents expressed shock at the incident. One nearby resident said, "It was terrifying to see the flames. We're just glad no one was hurt." The restaurant is a popular local eatery, and the community is hopeful that it will be able to reopen in the future.
The fire comes as a reminder of the importance of fire safety measures in commercial properties. The LFB advises all businesses to have an emergency plan in place.
