Eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters are currently battling a rooftop blaze at a school in West Drayton, West London. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to Gordon Road at 12:15pm on Thursday, July 16, following reports of a fire on the roof.
Fire affecting roof and solar panels
According to the fire service, the flames are affecting part of the roof and a range of solar panels. The cause of the blaze is not yet known. Fire crews from Hayes, Hillingdon, Feltham, and surrounding stations responded after receiving 18 emergency calls.
