Two trains have reportedly collided this evening (Friday, June 19) between Luton and Bedford, just north of London. Videos circulating on social media show the extent of the damage, and an air ambulance is believed to be at the scene.
Emergency Services Respond
A large emergency services presence has been reported at the scene. According to East Midlands Trains and National Rail, trains through the area cannot currently run. National Rail stated: "Emergency services are dealing with an incident between Luton and Bedford. Whilst they carry out their work, all lines are closed. As a result, trains between London St Pancras International and Bedford / Leicester may be cancelled or revised. This is expected until the end of the day."
