Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric Unveiled: 911-Inspired Design, Up to 415 Miles Range
Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric: 911 Styling, 415 Miles Range

Porsche has expanded its Cayenne Electric lineup with the addition of a curvaceous Coupe version, drawing design inspiration from the iconic 911. The new model, called the Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric, features a sweeping roofline that enhances its sporty appearance while also improving aerodynamics.

Design and Aerodynamics

According to Thomas Stopka, head of exterior design at Style Porsche, the "gently sloping roofline sweeps elegantly over the car's broad shoulders and gives the Cayenne Coupe a particularly sporty appearance." The new design not only looks sleeker but also reduces the drag coefficient compared to the regular Cayenne Electric SUV. Combined with active aerodynamics, including an adaptive rear spoiler, the Coupe cuts more cleanly through the air, adding 11 miles of battery range over the SUV. Maximum range is up to 415 miles in official testing.

Dimensions and Practicality

The Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric is equal in length (4,985mm) to its luxury SUV sibling, with the same 1,980mm width. However, the sportier roofline makes it 24mm lower. There is some compromise in practicality: boot capacity is 534 litres, almost 250 litres smaller than the SUV, but the Coupe can still tow trailers weighing up to 3,500kg.

The rear seats are offered in two configurations: a two-seat setup or a 2+1 arrangement, both with electric adjustment. Unique to the Cayenne Coupe Electric is a Lightweight Sport Package that reduces kerb weight by 17.6kg, achieved via a carbon fibre roof and bespoke 22-inch wheels, with classic Pepita cloth trim inside. At the opposite end, a rugged Off-Road Package is also available.

Powertrain Options

As with the Porsche Cayenne Electric SUV, the new Coupe offers three EV powertrains:

  • Cayenne Coupe Electric: 408hp (442hp with overboost), 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds, top speed 143mph.
  • Cayenne S Coupe Electric: 544hp (666hp with overboost), 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds, top speed 155mph.
  • Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric: 857hp (1,156hp with Launch Control), 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds, top speed 166mph.

All models come with adaptive air suspension as standard. Porsche's Active Ride suspension is available on Cayenne S and Turbo versions.

Equipment and Pricing

Compared to the SUV, the Cayenne Coupe Electric has a more generous level of standard equipment, including a panoramic glass roof and the Sport Chrono Package. The interior features a widescreen digital instrument panel and a large central infotainment touchscreen; a separate touchscreen for the front-seat passenger can be added.

Prices start at £86,200 for the entry-level Cayenne Coupe Electric, £103,100 for the Cayenne S Coupe Electric, and £133,300 for the flagship Turbo. These figures represent a premium of around £3,000 over the SUV. UK orders can be placed now, with first deliveries expected in summer 2026.
