Hackers who leaked multiple clips of Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay have released two more videos, including one that suggests they possess a playable build of the game, according to reports from August 20, 2026. The group, known as Cyberleeks, claimed responsibility for the leaks as a protest against Rockstar's decision to release the game solely in digital format.
Leaked Footage Shows Knife Combat and Bullet Holes
Rockstar has effectively confirmed the legitimacy of the initial leaks by actively removing the clips from the internet. However, Cyberleeks threatened to continue posting additional footage, and they have followed through with two new clips. The first clip, which has already been taken down, reportedly demonstrated knife combat similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as gameplay of protagonist Jason killing a police officer and stealing his car, according to those who viewed it before its removal.
The second clip, though very short, is more significant. It primarily shows footage of a plane flying above a city, but at the end, it shifts to gameplay of Jason firing a gun at a wall. The bullet holes spell out the word 'leek.'
Cyberleeks Claims Access to Game Build
According to the report, unless the footage is generated by artificial intelligence, this indicates that Cyberleeks has access to a build of the game. How they acquired it remains unknown. The report notes that this situation is unprecedented for any game, and there will be serious consequences within Rockstar for even an early build of GTA 6 reaching the public.
Like previous clips, this one also promotes a cryptocurrency. It is alleged that Cyberleeks' website temporarily hosted a poll asking which GTA 6 content to leak next, with voting requiring a donation. One of the options was for footage of a plane at daytime, which matches the newest leak.
Legal Ramifications and Upcoming Official Preview
Between illegally acquiring GTA 6 and charging money for these leaks, the individuals behind Cyberleeks face serious legal trouble if Rockstar or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, can identify them. The leaks come just before Rockstar plans to share official information via a Netflix-exclusive preview scheduled for August 27, 2026. The exact contents of the preview are unknown, but it is rumored to be roughly one hour long and span three episodes, potentially revealing many new details.
