Goodyear Blimp Returns to London Skies: Live Updates
Goodyear Blimp Spotted Over London on July 11

The iconic Goodyear Blimp has been spotted above London this morning (July 11), taking off from Damyns Hall Aerodrome according to flightradar24. The airship, recognised worldwide, is a regular feature at motorsport events, FA Cup Finals, and Coachella.

Flight Path and Coverage

So far today, the blimp has covered areas such as Westminster, Bexleyheath, London Bridge, Bermondsey, Deptford, and Rotherhithe. With a maximum speed of 125 km/h, the airships sport a semi-rigid skeleton composed of aluminium and carbon fibre trusses that hold three vectored engines.

Advanced Manoeuvrability

These advancements result in more precise operation and manoeuvrability, allowing the blimp to hover in place and take off and land like a helicopter. Ben Crawley, sales general manager consumer replacement Northern Europe, said: "The Goodyear Blimp is a recognisable icon worldwide and we’re thrilled to see it return to the UK this summer."
