Residents in Dagenham have been urged to avoid the area as around 60 firefighters battle a house fire that broke out late on Monday night.
Firefighters Respond to Blaze in Dagenham
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to a residential property on Ballards Road at 11:03 PM on May 11, 2026. Eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters are currently tackling the flames.
A spokesperson for LFB confirmed that part of the roof is alight and advised: "Please avoid the area while the incident is ongoing."

Emergency Response and Safety Warnings
Control officers received eight calls alerting them to the fire. Crews from Dagenham, Wennington, Ilford, and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.
It is not yet known if there are any injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
