Wizz Air has launched new routes to three Spanish hotspots, with flights starting from just £17.99. The budget airline confirmed this week that new services from London Luton Airport will operate to Málaga, Granada, and Asturias (Oviedo), beginning at the end of October 2026. These year-round routes offer Brits an affordable escape to sun-soaked destinations known for their beaches, tapas, and cultural landmarks.

Route Details and Fares

Flights from London Luton to Málaga will run four times a week starting October 25, 2026. The route to Granada will operate twice a week from October 27, while flights to Asturias (Oviedo) will depart three times a week from the same date. Fares start at £17.99 for all three destinations, making them accessible for budget-conscious travellers.

Destinations at a Glance

Málaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol, is one of Western Europe's oldest cities, featuring a historic Old Town, over 30 museums, sandy beaches, and a lively port. Granada offers a dramatic mountain backdrop and the Moorish Albaicín quarter, home to the famous Alhambra fortress. Oviedo, the walking capital of Asturias, is an uncrowded paradise with a historic Old Town and ample green spaces.

Expanding Spanish Network

The new routes expand Wizz Air's Spanish network, which already includes Bilbao, Barcelona, and Seville. The airline now offers flights from the UK to 11 Spanish destinations and operates at 18 Spanish airports. Yvonne Moynihan, managing director at Wizz Air UK, said: "Spain has always been one of the UK’s favourite holiday destinations, and we’re excited to be expanding our Spanish network with three more fantastic routes from London Luton Airport. Whether customers are planning a beach break on the Costa del Sol, a cultural escape to Granada, or looking to discover the stunning landscapes of Asturias, we’re making it even easier for our customers to enjoy more of Spain, for less. With fares starting from just £17.99, all that’s left to decide is whether you’re heading for the beach, the mountains or the tapas!"

Airport and Industry Reaction

Simon Harley, interim aviation director at London Luton Airport, commented: "It’s really exciting to see Wizz Air expanding its route network from London Luton Airport yet again. The addition of Málaga, Granada and Asturias to our departure boards means even more choice for passengers and follows the hugely successful launch of Wizz services to Bilbao, Barcelona and Seville earlier this year. From soaking up the sunshine on Málaga's golden beaches, to wandering Granada's stunning medieval Albaicín quarter, or exploring Asturias' spectacular mountain scenery, these new destinations will be enormously popular with holidaymakers flying from LLA and underline our commitment to offering even greater choice as part of our simple and friendly passenger experience."

Bookings are now open on the Wizz Air website, with flights available year-round. The airline's expansion underscores growing demand for affordable travel to Spain, a perennial favourite among UK tourists.
