The winner, identified by IGT as "Anthony," hit the jackpot while playing Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s Slots with a $10 bet.

Airport and company confirm the win

Airport officials posted on X on Tuesday: "Now that's one way to spend a layover. Congratulations to a lucky traveler who hit a $3.3[m] jackpot on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine over the weekend in C Gates at [Reid] Airport! Congratulations on your incredible win, and thanks for making [the airport] part of your lucky journey!" IGT also confirmed the win and shared a photo of a smiling middle-aged man posing beside the slot machine.

Tax implications

Gambling winnings over $5,000 are subject to an automatic 24% federal tax withholding, according to the Internal Revenue Service. However, Nevada does not tax lottery winnings or personal income, which may benefit the winner.

This jackpot follows a $1.8 million win on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine in the airport's D Gates in May 2025. The winner was not identified.
