Tom Holland, the British actor best known for playing Spider-Man, has confirmed that he and co-star Zendaya are married. In an interview with Esquire magazine, Holland revealed that his family was present at the wedding, ending months of speculation.
The Wedding Confirmation
The couple, who have been together for several years and got engaged in December 2024, have been the subject of intense wedding rumors. Speculation intensified after Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, told Access Hollywood in March 2026 that the ceremony had already taken place. Zendaya later issued a non-denial on the Jimmy Kimmel show when discussing her film The Drama.
Holland addressed AI-generated wedding photos that circulated online and were liked by 10 million Instagram accounts. He noted that his grandmother was briefly offended, thinking she hadn't been invited. When asked if he had to send messages to other family members, Holland paused and replied: "No, because they were all there." He then shut down a follow-up question, saying, "That's all you'll get on that."
A Relationship Built to Last
Holland elaborated on the couple's bond, stating: "Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time." He emphasized their unique ability to support each other, saying: "We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury."
He added: "For me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I have ever been when I'm with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period."
Their Spider-Man Journey
The new Spider-Man film, Brand New Day, is set for release at the end of July and is expected to be the first in a new trilogy starring Holland. Holland and Zendaya met when she auditioned for Spider-Man: Homecoming. He recalled: "Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her. She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she'd even left the room."
