Pitbull fan dress-up trend explained ahead of BST Hyde Park record attempt
Pitbull fan dress-up trend explained for BST Hyde Park

London will transform into a sea of bald caps, aviators, and tuxedos on Friday (July 10) as Pitbull returns for his BST Hyde Park concert. The event also features Kesha, Tinie Tempah, and Lil John. An official Guinness World Record attempt will take place for the most bald caps worn at a single event.

Origin of the Dress-Up Trend

The trend was sparked by UK model and social media influencer Milli Jo Mcloughlin, known as milzzjo, through her TikTok videos. In her "Transforming into Pitbull: A Hilarious Style Journey" series, she dons a bald cap and draws on a beard, earning praise from fans. Since then, thousands of UK fans have embraced the look, sharing their party preparations online.

Pitbull's Approval

Pitbull himself endorses the trend. During a London performance in June 2025, he said on stage: "I've never seen so many bald, beautiful, bald and sexy people in one place." He added: "I wanna say a special thank you to everybody who came out with bald caps... I highly appreciate y'all. It is amazing to see, it's amazing to feel and I hope that when ya'll put on those bald caps you feel just like I do."

How to Participate

To join, fans need a bald cap, aviators, a white button shirt, and a drawn-on beard. Bald caps are available online via Amazon or eBay, or at fancy dress shops. Participation is optional; everyone is welcome regardless of costume.

Alternative Costume Ideas

Some fans with sensory issues or too much hair opt for a sleek ponytail or a Pitbull "Live Laugh Love" shirt. One social media user suggested a black skirt with a cropped white button-up shirt. Another shared: "me and my friend are doing cowboy hats, white shirts then skirt and boots!" Reusing outfits is encouraged; one attendee said: "I will wear my brother's suit from when he was younger. I've saved it for years, now I will give it a brand new purpose."
