Harlan Coben is back with another gripping thriller. The prolific author's latest adaptation, I Will Find You, is set to premiere on Netflix on Thursday, June 18. Following the success of Fool Me Once and Missing You, this eight-part series promises the same blend of family secrets, shocking reveals, and mystery that fans have come to expect.
Plot Overview
The story centers on David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), who is serving a life sentence for the murder of his son. However, he is innocent. After a visit from his sister-in-law Rachel (Britt Lower), an investigative journalist, David learns that his son may still be alive. He must escape prison to uncover the truth and seek justice.
Cast and Production
The cast includes Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls) as Hayden, Rachel's ex-boyfriend and confidant. Coben described the ensemble as a 'dream team of talent' in an interview with Netflix's Tudum. Showrunner Robert Hull praised the cast as 'nothing short of phenomenal,' adding that their collective talent is a testament to Coben's storytelling and Netflix's support.
Early Reception
While the series has not yet aired, early reviews are positive. The Guardian called it 'another daft, formulaic, weirdly gripping case in point' of Coben's adaptations, a backhanded compliment that highlights its addictive nature. Fans of previous Coben adaptations are likely to enjoy this latest offering.
I Will Find You streams on Netflix from Thursday, June 18.
