Marks & Spencer has brought back four retro chocolate bars from the 1980s, hitting shelves from July 22. The bars — Jet, Now, Sparks and Coconut Grove — were first sold as part of M&S’s 80s confectionery range and feature the original St Michael logo, a brand owned by the retailer between 1927 and 2000. Each full-size bar is priced at £1, with mini multipacks available for £4.
Nostalgic treats return after customer demand
The relaunch follows the success of the Take 4 wafer bar, which returned last winter. M&S Food conducted research among 40,000 customers, revealing that 76% of Brits are drawn to products that remind them of childhood. A M&S spokesperson told Metro: “After the brilliant response to the return of Take 4 last year, we wanted to dig a little deeper into our archives and revisit more of the chocolate bars customers loved the first time around.”

Jet is a milk chocolate bar with soft nougat, peanut and caramel. Now combines milk chocolate with biscuit and caramel. Sparks features milk chocolate with soft nougat and caramel. Coconut Grove is a milk chocolate bar with a soft coconut centre. All bars come in their original St Michael packaging designs.

The bars are available in M&S stores and online via Ocado, though prices may differ on the platform. This launch comes alongside other M&S developments, including the opening of its biggest ever Foodhall in Godalming, Surrey, and the reopening of a central London store.
