Lorraine Kelly questions Brooklyn Beckham's DoorDash ad

Lorraine Kelly has weighed in on Brooklyn Beckham's eyebrow-raising advert, questioning whether the 27-year-old really needs the money. The ITV presenter discussed the DoorDash commercial on Tuesday's episode of her daytime show, shortly after the eldest Beckham child shared the ad, which appeared to reference his ongoing family drama.

In the advert for the food delivery service, the aspiring chef sits alone on a sofa and says: 'You're probably wondering why I'm watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home.' He then smiles at the camera, adding, 'It's a long story,' before tossing a stack of tournament tickets onto a coffee table, apparently alluding to his rift with parents Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham. The ad concludes with the words, 'It's complicated. More soon,' overlaid on the screen.

Discussing the commercial on her show, Kelly remarked: 'Apparently there is more to come on that. You wonder to yourself – does he really need the money to do that? I just don't get it, I don't understand what is going on.'

This comes after a source told Metro that the public dig has left his family stunned. 'No one could have predicted he would do something like this. Monetising this situation will be heartbreaking for David and Victoria, especially after his dig at “Brand Beckham” in his statement. Brooklyn has called for peace and privacy and this feels like the complete opposite by joking about their family fallout in front of the world.'

Beckham has been engaged in a long-running feud with his parents, which turned hideously public when he shared an explosive Instagram post in January, stating he has no plan to mend fences with them. He also made various claims about his mother's behaviour at his 2022 wedding, his parents' control over his life, and alleged that his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham had been 'disrespected'.

The former photographer is understood to have been estranged from his family for a year and has not acknowledged them on social media in months, despite his father's major milestones such as being knighted and receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is also said to have sent his parents a legal notice stating they may only contact him via lawyers.
