Kesha asks fans for human teeth to freak out straight men

Kesha has asked fans to send her their human teeth, revealing the bizarre request is completely serious. The 39-year-old singer made the confession on the Las Culturistas podcast, explaining she has been collecting teeth for years after becoming fascinated by her supporters.

How the collection started

According to Kesha, the obsession began when a fan mentioned their child had lost a baby tooth. 'The teeth started when I became obsessed with my fans and then someone was like, 'My child lost their teeth,' and I was like, 'Can I have them?'' she said. The TiK ToK singer has since amassed over 1,000 teeth from fans, transforming them into accessories including a necklace, earrings, a belt, and even a crown.

Why she does it

Kesha admitted the collection serves a dual purpose. 'I just started collecting them because it kind of freaks out straight men,' she said. The singer also uses the teeth as home decor, placing them in jars around her house. 'I just started putting them all over my home, in little jars,' she added. She insists she is doing fans a favor, arguing discarded baby teeth are going to waste. 'I'm a pop star. I need your teeth. Do you flush them down the toilet? Where are they going? Give them to me. Can I actually have them? It's not a drill, not a joke,' she said.

Not limited to human teeth

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year, Kesha revealed her collection also includes her cats' extracted teeth. 'I have my cats, they had to get their little teeth taken out. They're little kitty wisdom teeth. I collect those too,' she explained. Longtime fans may not be surprised: the singer also owns a necklace made from her own placenta.
