London Gatwick Airport has issued a reminder to passengers about the 14-day limit for paying drop-off charges. The airport states that drivers must pay the charge by midnight on the day after using one of the designated drop-off zones. Those who fail to make payment within the required timeframe could face a fine.
Fine details and reduction
According to Gatwick Airport, failing to pay on time will result in a Parking Charge Notice of £100, which is reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. To avoid the fee, the airport advises: "Payments should be made after you exit the drop-off zone in order for your vehicle to be recognised by the Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems and for the correct fee to be calculated for your drop-off session."
AutoPay accounts should be set up before entering the drop-off zone to ensure the account is debited automatically.

Alternatively, passengers can use the Long Stay car parks, which offer two hours of free parking, with a complimentary shuttle bus service to the terminals.
