Bobby Norris has been forced to deny rumours of his own death in what he calls 'potentially the most random video' he has ever made. The Only Way Is Essex star took to Instagram to confirm he is alive after an influx of messages from concerned fans.
'I'm still very much here'
Speaking to his 750,000 followers, the 39-year-old reality star explained that an announcement of his passing had been circulating online. 'At first, I thought the internet was internetting,' he said. 'I wasn't sure if it was the good old trolls under the bridge doing what they do, so I didn't respond. Then more and more messages came in, and for a split second I thought: "Well, it can't be me because I'm eating an omelette, and I'm still very much here, kicking about."'
Bobby clarified that he believes another man named Bobby Norris had died, leading to the confusion. He expressed his condolences to the deceased's family and friends, while thanking fans for their concern. Describing it as 'a mad couple of days in the twilight zone,' he signed off the video with gratitude.
Support from fans
Fans flooded the comments with support. Lisa Sharman called it a 'happy and sad moment' and sent condolences to the other family. Tracie Dack described it as 'a frightening thing,' adding: 'Glad you're alive and kicking, hun, and enjoying your omelette. Much love.' Victoria remarked: 'That omelette must have tasted divine after that, Bob. Condolences to the other family.'
The video, filmed from his sofa in a relaxed open shirt, was titled: 'Still here with my omelette.. ? (Just to clear up any confusion..)'
Recent facelift surgery
Earlier this year, Bobby shared videos of his swollen face after undergoing facelift surgery. He spoke openly about the procedures and the judgement he faced, appearing on ITV's This Morning in April. When asked by presenter Ben Shephard why he felt the need for a facelift at 39, Bobby responded: 'Do what makes you feel better.'
