Arsenal have reportedly reached a transfer agreement with Club Brugge to sign winger Christos Tzolis for €40m (£34m), according to The Athletic. The deal comes days after Leandro Trossard's departure to Besiktas, with Tzolis viewed as his replacement.
Tzolis' impressive form in Belgium
The 24-year-old Greece international has been outstanding for Club Brugge, scoring 43 goals and providing 45 assists in 108 appearances. He helped the club win the Belgian Pro League, Belgian Cup and Belgian Super Cup during his two seasons there.
Club Brugge originally signed Tzolis from Norwich City in 2024 for just €3.5m, meaning they stand to make a significant profit on the sale. The Athletic reports that the Belgian champions are now resigned to losing their prized asset, with Arsenal finalising the move.
Arsenal's transfer activity
The Premier League champions have been tracking Tzolis for some time and intensified their interest last month. The winger's arrival follows Trossard's exit to Turkish side Besiktas earlier this week.
Arsenal remain interested in Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, who is believed to be the club's primary transfer target this summer. The Gunners are also reportedly in the hunt for other reinforcements as they look to strengthen their squad.
