The final day of the group stage at the 2026 World Cup takes place on Saturday, with 72 matches completed and 16 teams already eliminated. Several groups remain undecided, including Group L where Croatia, England, and Ghana vie for position, and Group K where Portugal need a win over Colombia to secure top spot. Algeria and Austria also face off in a crucial match in Kansas City.
Croatia v Ghana: 5pm ET, Philadelphia Stadium
Croatia have yet to find top gear after a 4-2 defeat to England and a narrow 1-0 win over Panama. Luka Modric and his teammates may be fading as a tournament force. Ghana, one of the surprise packages under Carlos Queiroz, have become tougher to break down. Player to watch: Martin Baturina, Croatia, who has impressed in the No 10 role.
Panama v England: 5pm ET, New York New Jersey Stadium
England are all but through to the knockout rounds but need a response after a goalless draw with Ghana. Panama, already eliminated, have earned goodwill for their performances and will not sit back. Declan Rice is key for England, having been the standout player against Ghana. England's Reece James has been ruled out for at least two games with a hamstring injury.
Colombia v Portugal: 7.30pm ET, Miami Stadium
Colombia need only a point to secure top spot in Group K, while Portugal require three points after a dominant 5-0 win over Uzbekistan. Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace, but Bruno Fernandes provided the service and took control from midfield. Player to watch: Bruno Fernandes, Portugal.
DR Congo v Uzbekistan: 7.30pm ET, Atlanta Stadium
DR Congo need a win to stand a realistic chance of reaching the knockout rounds for the first time. They struggled to create chances in possession against Colombia, and Uzbekistan will sit deep. Yoane Wissa, the Newcastle forward, remains DR Congo's best attacking threat.
Algeria v Austria: 10pm ET, Kansas City Stadium
Algeria's comeback win over Jordan gives them a chance to secure second place in Group J with another victory. Austria's high-energy style under Ralf Rangnick helped them beat Jordan but made them vulnerable against Argentina. Ibrahim Maza, Algeria's midfield creator from Bayer Leverkusen, has been the driving force.
Jordan v Argentina: 10pm ET, Dallas Stadium
Jordan are already eliminated, while Argentina have won both matches without hitting top gear. Lionel Messi became the all-time top scorer in men's World Cup history with two goals against Austria. Argentina may rest players but Messi could still start as he chases more records.
