Stanway targets trophies after ‘unbelievable’ Arsenal move

Georgia Stanway has completed a move to Arsenal on a free transfer, returning to the Women's Super League after four trophy-laden years at Bayern Munich. The England midfielder, 27, signed a contract with the north London club following the end of her deal with the German champions.

Stanway’s ambition at Arsenal

“It’s an unbelievable feeling and I’m so proud to be joining Arsenal,” said Stanway. “This is a massive club that is driving the women’s game forward to new levels and I want to be a part of it. I want to win trophies and grow as a player, and this is the right place to do that with the backing of an incredible fanbase.”

Stanway helped Bayern Munich win four consecutive Frauen-Bundesliga titles, along with two German Cups and two German Super Cups. She has also been a key figure for England, earning 93 caps and scoring 33 senior international goals. She was part of the Lionesses squads that won the 2022 and 2025 European Championships and reached the 2023 World Cup final.
