QPR's Rayan Kolli Denies Exit Rumours, Vows to Fight for Place
QPR star Kolli issues transfer denial amid Saudi links

Queens Park Rangers forward Rayan Kolli has publicly addressed swirling online speculation about his future, firmly denying rumours that he is seeking a Loftus Road exit this season.

Social Media Statement Confirms Commitment

The 20-year-old rising star, who enjoyed a breakthrough campaign under former manager Marti Cifuentes last season, took to Instagram on Monday to clarify his position amid growing transfer gossip. Kolli revealed he has received online abuse directed at himself and his family following false claims about his commitment to both QPR and the Algerian national team.

In a detailed social media story, the young striker wrote: "There has been a lot of speculation about what has been going on recently regarding myself and I just wanted to clarify a few things." He directly addressed claims that he wanted to leave the club, stating: "For my QPR family, I do not want to leave. I turned down opportunities elsewhere to stay at the club I have been at for almost all my life."

Struggle for Minutes Under New Management

Kolli's public statement comes during a challenging period for the player under new head coach Julien Stephan. The Algerian international has been frozen out of Championship matchday squads since the 2-1 defeat to Millwall in mid-October, where he was an unused substitute.

This season has seen a dramatic reduction in playing time for the promising forward, with just 182 minutes of league action compared to his more substantial contributions last campaign. During the 2024/25 season, Kolli scored four goals across 20 Championship appearances, plus an additional strike in the FA Cup against Leicester City.

The situation represents a stark contrast to his status under previous boss Marti Cifuentes, who had praised the player's 'amazing impact' at QPR. Kolli's form last season even earned him his first call-up to the Algeria senior squad in October following impressive performances at under-20 level.

Transfer Interest and Managerial Decisions

Despite Kolli not naming specific clubs in his statement, French outlet Foot Mercato had previously reported interest from both Ligue 1 and Saudi Arabian clubs during the summer transfer window.

Manager Julien Stephan has explained his team selection decisions by referencing the competition for places in his squad. He noted: "When all the players are available, I have some choices. I have strikers like Burrell who score a lot, and Kone who scored a lot before. And I wanted to give the opportunity to Daniel Bennie to come into the 20 players because I considered that he deserved it when I saw him in training."

In his social media message, Kolli acknowledged the manager's difficult decisions while reaffirming his determination: "As we all know, the manager has to make decisions and whether I agree or not, I have to respect it and keep working until the chance that I have been working for arrives."

The young forward concluded with a promise to QPR supporters: "I just want to let you know that I am doing everything in my power to get myself back on that pitch to keep proving to you all week in, week out, that I am capable of playing at this level and beyond."
