Kev Ruled Out as Emmerdale Arsonist, Return Looms

Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) has been ruled out as the Emmerdale firestarter, but his return to the village is still on the cards for later this year. Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) have spent the entire week trying to unmask the mysterious arsonist who has been setting fires on Emmerdale Farm.

Aaron's Suspicions

Aaron has been pondering over the possibility that Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) might be responsible, having finally realized that no one actually knows much about him. While Kammy is acting strangely around the mention of the fires, it is more than likely because he is homeless and sleeping in one of the barns, terrified of losing his accommodation.

Ross's Investigation

Ross Barton (Michael Parr), who decided to assign himself lead investigator in this case, told Robert and Aaron that they should consider Kev as a potential suspect. Kev hasn't been seen since the start of the year, leaving the village with a broken heart after discovering his ex-husband Robert had reunited with Aaron. Creating chaos by setting things on fire seems like something Kev would do, as he previously threatened Aaron, Robert, and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) with a sword.

Robert and Aaron pondered over the possibility of Kev being back, but he was ruled out as the culprit because he is currently in prison. Since another fire occurred at the start of tonight's episode, Kev could not have been in two places at once. However, the character is set to return to the village this year, though the reason for his comeback remains unknown.

The Real Firestarter

So, if it isn't Kev or Kammy, who is starting the fires? Even though Aaron and Robert are now looking at Ross and Sam Dingle (James Hooton), the actual identity of the arsonist has been revealed due to a slip-up from Emmerdale. As the end credits are listed in order of appearance, the ITV soap has accidentally confirmed that Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) is the firestarter. His name appears first on the list, matching his appearance at the start of the episode when the hooded figure arrives at another barn and sets it alight.

What's Next?

With Kev's return looming and Kyle's secret out, the village is in for more drama. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the characters will react to these revelations. Stay tuned for more Emmerdale spoilers and updates.
