Joe Marler Warns Celebrity Traitors Season 2 Stars to 'Be Careful'
Joe Marler Warns Celebrity Traitors Season 2 Stars (30.05.2026)

Joe Marler, who transitioned from rugby prop to beloved reality TV star after winning the first season of Celebrity Traitors, has now become an unlikely mentor for contestants set to appear on the upcoming second season. The 35-year-old podcaster, known for his candid and humorous demeanor, shared his insights and warnings during an interview about Soccer Aid 2026, where he will serve as goalkeeper for England.

Advice for Future Traitors

Marler admitted that several unnamed individuals have reached out to him for guidance before entering the castle. His primary advice? Be mindful of the breakfast buffet. "Don't eat too much breakfast in your own lodgings before going down to another breakfast," he joked. "I put on eight kilos doing it. So I said, just be careful what you're eating in there."

Remember It's Just a Game

Beyond dietary warnings, Marler emphasized the importance of perspective. "The round tables are intense. Just the whole nature of it is quite daunting, and a lot of people thought, 'Oh, you've gone after Jonathan or Alan. It's a bit spiky.' No, because we all know it's just a game. None of this is a genuine personal attack or anything like that. It's just a game," he explained.

Regrets and Reflections

Marler also acknowledged a key mistake he made during his season: being too intense with fellow contestant Nick. "I was too full on for Nick. I creeped him out," he admitted. "When I turned around to him and said, 'Mate, I know you're 100% faithful. I am too.' It wasn't until we watched it all back that he told me that was the moment. He was like, 'Oh, am I being played here?' If I had my time again, I'd probably be less intense."

Despite the betrayal, Marler holds no grudge against Nick. The two have since appeared together on Marler's podcast and Celebrity Gogglebox. However, Marler joked that he wouldn't mind meeting Nick on the Soccer Aid pitch for some "payback."

Soccer Aid for UNICEF takes place on Sunday, May 31, at the London Stadium. Adult tickets start from £20 and juniors from £10.
