Emmerdale's Doctor Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) killer has potentially been revealed following the news that another star is leaving the ITV soap. Jack Downham, who plays Noah Dingle, has his exit confirmed, suggesting Noah may be the one to murder the evil doctor.
Flashforward hints at Noah's involvement
Earlier this month, a flashforward sequence aired that confirmed Doctor Todd will be murdered by a village resident. The character is currently working in Sheffield, convinced she won't face any police consequences for raping and blackmailing Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins). Doctor Todd's theory that she won't be going to prison will come true, but she will meet a deadly end instead.
In the flashforward, Doctor Todd is lying on the floorboards in Jacobs Fold, where Noah lives. This location strongly hints that Noah could be the killer. Noah will soon tell Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) that he's considering applying for jobs abroad, and Jack's exit suggests Noah may secure a new job overseas or go on the run after killing Caitlin.
Other suspects and cast changes
Currently, the top suspects are Charity, Mackenzie, and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick). However, in true soap fashion, the killer could be someone surprising. News of Jack's exit comes amid a huge cast change for the show. Alongside Jack and Caroline Harker, Olivia Bromley (Dawn Taylor), Nick Miles (Jimmy King), and Bradley Johnson (Vinny Dingle) are also departing.
Could Noah discover what Doctor Todd did to his mum and take action? In the aftermath, will Noah's family help him escape the village to prevent time behind bars? Fans are eagerly awaiting the reveal.
