According to The Sun, Beth Nixon will soon film her final scenes, which are expected to air later this year. Metro has contacted Coronation Street for comment. Show producer Kate Brooks previously hinted that Megan would face consequences, stating, "There are soap Gods, and as in soap God's law, there'll be some kind of retribution for Megan. She cannot get off scot-free."
Brooks added, "Megan's actions have not just directly impacted Will and the Driscolls; Sam's also collateral damage. People's trust has been absolutely dismantled because of this woman's perpetual lie." The storyline will also explore the Driscoll family's struggle to rebuild, with Will being "quite badly affected" by his ordeal.
