Arsenal's Premier League Parade: 500,000 Fans Celebrate in North London
Arsenal's Premier League Parade Draws 500,000 Fans

Flares, chants, and Spiderman on scaffolding marked Arsenal's Premier League victory parade as the club ended a 22-year wait for the English championship. An estimated 500,000 fans gathered in Islington to celebrate with the men's and women's teams.

Parade Route and Atmosphere

The open-top buses carrying Mikel Arteta and his squad left the Emirates Stadium at around 2pm, following a clockwise 9km route via Holloway Road, Blackstock Road, Green Lanes, Essex Road, and Angel before passing Upper Street and returning along Holloway Road. Fans released so many flares that the buses were barely visible at times. One supporter, Jay, 34, said outside his local Lidl: 'Arsenal is in my DNA. I was born up the road, so it's not just the team I support, it's my local team. The last time we won I was 12, so experiencing this as an adult is special.'

Fan Reactions and Highlights

Chants of 'Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal' echoed across North London as fans climbed bus stops for a better view. A Spiderman impersonator scaled scaffolding and set off a flare to boost the atmosphere. Players including Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber, Martin Odegaard, and manager Mikel Arteta celebrated with the trophy. Defenders Gabriel and William Saliba filmed the crowds on Holloway Road. Police led one fan away from the festivities.
